Book launch: Existential Counselling and Psychotherapy in Practice
Book launch: Existential Counselling and Psychotherapy in Practice
Tue 06 Nov 2012  5:30pm - 8:00pm
Where: - London

FREE EVENT - BOOK LAUNCH: Existential Counselling and Psychotherapy in Practice, 3rd edition by Emmy van Deurzen (Sage, 2012).

Emmy van Deurzen will give a twenty minute talk on philosophical and existential approaches to counselling practice, followed by free wine and nibbles.

The launch takes place at the New School of Psychotherapy and Counselling (NSPC), 254-256 Belsize Road, London NW6 4BT on Tuesday 6 November from 5.30pm to 8.00pm.

Central to the book is the belief that many of our problems arise out of the essential paradoxes of human existence, rather than from personal pathology. From this perspective, the purpose of counselling and therapy is not viewed as problem-solving, but as a means of enabling people to come to terms with living life as it is, with all its inherent contradictions.

Also launched at the same event will be a magnum opus on autism and Asperger Syndrome: Autistic Spectrum Disorders through the Life Span by Digby Tantam (Jessica Kingsley).

Each book will be available at a special reduced launch price and the authors will be signing these and other books that you may wish to purchase on the evening.

Advance orders can be taken if you are unable to come to the launch.

Reserve your free place for the launch event by calling Maureen Hudson on 020 76240471.
